A father-in-law has been arrested for sexually assaulting his daughter-in-law in Lahore’s Millat Park.

The arrest was made by the Virtual Women Police Station after the assault occurred in the absence of the son.

According to police reports, the victim’s father contacted the 15 Emergency Helpline to report the incident, prompting a swift response from the Virtual Women Police Station.

The victim disclosed to the police that her father-in-law had repeatedly assaulted her and threatened her with severe consequences and death if she revealed the abuse.

A police spokesperson confirmed that the Virtual Women Police Station acted quickly, sending officers to the scene. The spokesperson explained that the father-in-law had taken advantage of his son’s absence to perpetrate the assaults, while also harassing and threatening the victim.
