Priyanka Gandhi clashes with Yogi Adityanath over ‘Palestine’ bag comment

Former Pakistani minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain praised Gandhi

Ongress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has hit back at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after he criticized her for carrying a bag emblazoned with “Palestine.” During a speech in the UP legislative assembly, Adityanath.

In response, Gandhi condemned the idea of sending young people to a conflict zone for employment. Taking to social media, she wrote in Hindi, “Throwing youths into the war zone in Israel for ‘employment’ is not an achievement but a matter of shame.” She criticized the Uttar Pradesh government for being “oblivious to the high levels of unemployment” in the state and the struggles faced by job seekers.

Gandhi further shared reports that many youth working in Israel are living in fear, hiding in bunkers, and enduring exploitation by their employers. She stated, “Our promising youths are forced to risk their lives for employment because you cannot provide employment. Sending our youth to a war zone for employment is not something to be proud of, but rather a matter of shame.”

He mocked Gandhi, saying, “A Congress leader was seen walking around Parliament carrying a Palestinian bag, while we are sending our youth to Israel for jobs. As many as 5,600 people from UP are part of construction projects in Israel. Every youth gets free food and accommodation besides a monthly salary of 1.5 lakh Indian rupees there. There is also a full guarantee of safety.”

Adityanath, defending the initiative, pointed out that the Israeli embassy had praised the contributions of UP youth, emphasizing the government’s success in providing job opportunities abroad.
