An IndiGo Airlines flight en route to Jeddah was forced to make an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport after a passenger experienced a medical crisis.

The Airbus A320, which had taken off from New Delhi, diverted to Karachi when a 55-year-old male passenger became critically ill as the aircraft entered Pakistani airspace.

Despite the cabin crew administering oxygen, the passenger’s condition deteriorated, prompting the pilot to contact Karachi Air Traffic Control for emergency landing approval.

Upon receiving clearance, the flight safely landed in Karachi, where a medical team from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority quickly boarded the aircraft to provide assistance and stabilize the passenger’s condition.

The passenger, an Indian Muslim, was also given medication before the situation was resolved.
