Inquiry ordered after over 100 goats poisoned in Mirpurkhas
In a troubling incident in Mirpurkhas, more than 100 goats have died after consuming what are believed to be poisonous plants. Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar has ordered an investigation into the matter.
According to spokesperson Sohail Ahmed Jokhio, the goats perished in the Digri Taluka of the Mirpurkhas division after ingesting toxic grass.
The local police have initiated an inquiry and are filing a first information report, while an investigation committee led by a Deputy Superintendent of Police from the Crime Investigation Agency has been set up to look into the incident.
Jokhio suggested that the incident may be linked to personal enmity towards the goats’ owners.
