Babar Junaid reflects on his father Junaid Jamshed’s life, marriages
Junaid Jamshed, a celebrated figure in Pakistan known for his hit song “Dil Dil Pakistan,” made a significant impact on the pop music scene before dedicating his life to Islam.
He transitioned from music to become a respected naat reciter and Islamic preacher, while also achieving success as a businessman.
Junaid Jamshed lost his life in a plane crash in December 2016, leaving behind three sons, one daughter, and a widow.
In a recent podcast, his son Babar Junaid discussed his father’s life, including his multiple marriages.
Babar revealed that, to his knowledge, Junaid Jamshed had two additional wives besides his mother, with one having passed away alongside him.
He clarified that there were no children from these marriages.

Babar, one of four siblings, recalled a moment when his father inquired if he ever felt unfairly treated due to his multiple marriages.
Babar reassured him, saying, “No, Baba! You fulfilled all your responsibilities and gave us a lot of love.”
This heartfelt exchange brought comfort to Junaid Jamshed.
