Bushra Bibi faces legal action for inciting public in video statement
Bushra Bibi, the wife of former PTI leader Imran Khan, is facing two legal cases under the Telegraph Act of 1885 and other relevant laws. FIRs have been filed against her in Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajan Pur following a controversial video statement.
In her recent address, Bushra Bibi alleged that after Imran Khan visited Medina barefoot, calls began coming in for former Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa, questioning his choice of Khan.
She claimed that Bajwa was informed that they were in the process of abolishing Sharia law in the country, leading to a campaign against them. She further stated that the founder of PTI was unfairly labeled as a Jewish agent.
The FIR accuses Bushra Bibi of making incendiary statements intended to incite public unrest. The case in Dera Ghazi Khan was initiated at the request of a citizen named Ghulam Yaseen.

The FIR details that her video statement was part of a calculated conspiracy, aimed at provoking the public. It also alleges that her comments against Saudi Arabia undermined foreign policy and public interest.
In response, police have confirmed that legal action is underway against her under Section 126 of the Telegraph Act and additional laws.
Additionally, sources indicate that the central leadership of PTI has decided to distance itself from Bushra Bibi’s remarks, expressing concern over her statements and advising her to seek party approval before making further comments.
