India’s refusal to tour Pakistan has jeopardized the tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sent a letter to the ICC ten days ago seeking clarification, but has yet to receive a response.

While the ICC typically replaces a withdrawing team with the ninth-ranked nation, the council believes that the tournament’s appeal and revenue would be significantly diminished without India’s participation. The situation remains unresolved.
