Pakistani businessman Imran Chaudhry passes away in Dubai

Imran Chaudhry, a well-known Pakistani businessman and chairman of Cinergie Group, has passed away in Dubai. His death, which occurred on Monday, has left the Pakistani business community in mourning.

Chaudhry was a key figure in the establishment of the Pakistan Business Council in Dubai, serving as a founding member and twice as its director.

He was also deeply involved in philanthropic efforts, notably supporting the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, which was founded by his close friend, former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Throughout his career, Chaudhry was a successful entrepreneur with investments spanning various sectors, including trading, industrial equipment, recycling, metals, petrochemicals, retail, electronics, hospitality, and real estate in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and the UK.

His funeral prayers are scheduled to take place after the Asr prayer at Al Quoz cemetery in Dubai. Chaudhry is survived by his wife Nabeela and their son Mohammed.

The news of his passing has prompted expressions of sorrow from the Pakistani community in the UAE.

Pakistan’s ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, commended Chaudhry’s contributions to the business community and his active role during his tenure.

Iqbal Dawood, president of the Pakistan Business Council, also acknowledged the significant impact Chaudhry had on community service and charitable initiatives.

Community members are remembering him for his dedication and commitment to various causes, reflecting the profound loss felt by many.
