Police raid wedding in Toba Tek Singh, young girl killed

The girl's family says a wedding was underway when the raid happened

A young girl was killed during a police raid in Toba Tek Singh, sparking outrage and prompting an investigation. Police claim they were conducting a raid to apprehend suspects when the incident occurred.

However, the girl’s family alleges the police acted brutally, claiming a wedding celebration was underway at their home when the raid took place.

Following the incident, the girl’s body was transported to a local hospital. DPO Ibadat Nisar arrived at the scene and is overseeing the investigation.

A case has been registered against those responsible, including the SHO, ASI, a constable, and the driver. Two suspects have been arrested, and authorities state that the remaining suspects will be apprehended shortly.
