Girl shot and wounded inside car near Seaview in Karachi

In a separate incident, a notorious criminal Asim 'Tanga' was arrested

Four people, including a woman, were injured in separate shooting incidents across Karachi. Following alleged shootouts, police and citizens apprehended four suspected robbers.

The incidents occurred in Clifton Beach, Korangi, Pak Colony, and Golimar.

According to police, a young woman named Irum was injured in a shooting on Abdul Sattar Road near Seaview. The shooting took place inside a vehicle. Preliminary reports suggest the accidental discharge of a firearm while she was with friends.

Police have detained a man named Omar, a friend of the injured woman, in connection with the incident. Omar’s weapon and vehicle have been seized, and investigations are underway.

In Korangi, police engaged in a shootout near GPO Chowk, apprehending Asim, also known as “Tanga,” who is allegedly involved in over 100 criminal cases. Asim, who sustained injuries during the encounter, confessed to committing numerous crimes with his accomplices.

His gang, comprising six members, operated in various areas including Landhi, Korangi, Malir, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and Defence. Police claim to have obtained information about his accomplices and anticipate further arrests.

Separately, three individuals – Aamir, Amanullah, and Shahzad – were injured in a shooting at a wedding ceremony in Pak Colony. Police attribute the incident to a dispute at the event, but investigations are ongoing.

In Golimar, near Sir Syed College, a suspect named Mahmud was apprehended after an alleged police encounter, sustaining injuries in the process. In a separate incident near Thursday Bazaar in Sector 7-B, Surjani Town, two robbers were injured by an angry mob and subsequently handed over to the police.
