A man in Sindh’s Sanghar allegedly murdered his mother, two sisters, and brother-in-law in a fit of rage after his family refused to allow him to marry within his own family.

The incident occurred in the Ali Jan Mari area, falling under the jurisdiction of the Jhol police station.

According to police, the accused, whose identity has not yet been publicly released, opened fire, killing his mother, Kanka, his sisters, Dhadki and Radha, and his brother-in-law, Rejho.

The motive, according to DSP Pervez Akhtar, stems from the accused’s desire to marry within his own Bheel community, a practice forbidden within the community. The accused, frustrated by his family’s refusal, reportedly carried out the killings.

Police have transported the bodies to the hospital for post-mortem examinations. While DSP Sanghar stated that raids are underway to apprehend the accused, sources claim a different narrative.

These sources allege that the accused, while en route to the police station to surrender, fired two shots in the air before fatally shooting himself.

However, police are reportedly refusing to confirm the self-inflicted nature of the death, and the police station doors are reportedly closed. The investigation is ongoing.
