Justice Babar Sattar returns to IHC after one month leave
Islamabad High Court Judge Justice Babar Sattar has resumed his duties after a month-long leave.
His leave sparked rumours on social media that he had left for the United States and may never return. However, sources in the legal fraternity denied the claim.
His return is expected to be welcomed by legal professionals and litigants alike as he continues to handle a substantial caseload.
On Wednesday (today), he presided over more than forty cases, marking his return to the bench.
Justice Sattar was on leave from September 30 to October 29, and reports indicate that he may take another two-week leave starting November 4.
The Islamabad High Court granted Justice Babar Sattar a one-month leave on September 28, as confirmed by a notification from Additional Registrar Ijaz Ahmed.
However, sources reported that he will take another extended leave, beginning potentially on November 4. Sources claim his leave is partly due to dissatisfaction with certain amendments to the constitution related to the judiciary.
