Pakistani delegation to visit US for Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s repatriation
A Pakistani delegation, which will include former and current parliamentarians, military officials, doctors, and Dr. Fawzia Siddiqui, is set to travel to the United States for discussions regarding the repatriation of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui.
This announcement was made during a recent court hearing concerning Fawzia Siddiqui’s application for her sister’s recovery and repatriation.
The Additional Attorney General confirmed the government’s commitment to addressing Dr. Siddiqui’s situation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also proposed a Prisoner Transfer Agreement with the US, which was discussed in court.
Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq sought clarity on the timeline for a response regarding this agreement, to which officials indicated that a reply could be forthcoming soon.

Dr. Fawzia Siddiqui has requested a medical check-up for her sister. Furthermore, it was revealed that Prime Minister has approved the delegation’s trip, and Dr. Fawzia’s family has asked for medical professionals to accompany the delegation for Aafia Siddiqui’s care.
The Islamabad High Court has adjourned the hearing related to this matter.
