Zain Qureshi’s wife returns home hours after ‘abduction’

She had allegedly been picked up by masked men outside her house

The wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zain Qureshi has returned home safely after being allegedly abducted, according to family members.

The news was confirmed on social media by Qureshi’s wife, Mahnum Kabir, who announced her safe return in a post on X.

PTI leader Mehrbano Qureshi also shared a picture of her sister-in-law, confirming her safe arrival and expressing gratitude for the “prayers and support” received.

Earlier, Mehrbano Qureshi had reported that her sister-in-law had been abducted by masked individuals. She stated that Zain Qureshi’s wife was taken near her home when two cars blocked her vehicle and forcibly removed her.

The abductors, described as wearing plain clothes and masks, then took her away.

Mehrbano Qureshi’s social media statement also alleged that despite enduring threats for the past year and a half, her family had not been intimidated.

She suggested that the abduction was a resort to underhanded tactics after other attempts failed.
