The Pakistan Metrological Department has reported that a storm system is currently located approximately 1200 km from Karachi, which will weaken gradually into a well-marked low-pressure area during next few hours,

The storm is moving in a west-northwest direction and is expected to have implications for the surrounding areas.

A depression currently located over the West-central Arabian Sea has shifted west-northwestward in the past 10 hours. As of now, it lies at approximately 16.2°N latitude and 61.0°E longitude, about 1150 km southwest of Karachi, 1080 km southwest of Ormara, and 1010 km south of Gwadar. The system is also positioned 520 km southeast of Masirah, Oman, and 740 km east of Salalah, Oman.

Squally winds are anticipated, with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 km/hour and gusts reaching up to 50 km/hour around the system’s center. Consequently, sea conditions are expected to remain rough until tomorrow.
