CDA seals KP House in Islamabad

According to CDA, the building has violated regulations

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad.

According to CDA sources, several blocks of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House have been sealed due to violations of building regulations. Special Magistrate Sardar Muhammad Asif is overseeing the sealing process, assisted by Assistant Commissioner Abdullah.

This action follows a protest on October 5th, where thousands of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, breached police barricades and entered Islamabad. Clashes ensued amidst heavy rain, resulting in numerous arrests.

The group, numbering between 6,000 and 8,000, reached China Chowk on Jinnah Avenue after clashes with police. Chief Minister Gandapur briefly appeared at China Chowk before proceeding to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.

The federal government warned Chief Minister Gandapur and the PTI of serious consequences for their actions.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub, claimed that Chief Minister Gandapur had been illegally arrested. However, PTV News reported that legal proceedings against him had begun. Federal Ministers for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, and Information, Atta Tarar, denied Gandapur’s arrest.

Gandapur emerged in the KP Assembly late on Sunday night, claiming that he had been inside the KP House the whole time.
