PIA flight avoids disaster after tyre bursts
A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight traveling from Dubai to Multan encountered a serious issue when all tyres burst during its takeoff attempt.
The Airbus A320, carrying 172 passengers, had to abort its departure after the crew received a warning of an engine malfunction while accelerating on the runway.
The captain activated the emergency braking system, which successfully halted the aircraft but resulted in the bursting of all tyres.
For safety reasons, passengers were immediately moved to the airport lounge.
In response, PIA’s engineering team is being dispatched from Karachi to Dubai to address the technical problem.
