The Sindh High Court has granted bail to Natasha Danish, the female accused in the Karsaz accident case, in a drug-related case as well. It is noteworthy that Natasha is already on bail in the first case.

During the hearing in the Sindh High Court, her lawyer, Farooq H. Naik, stated that bail has already been granted in one FIR, and there had been a reconciliation between the parties in this case’s FIR.

The prosecutor argued that Natasha was under the influence of drugs while driving. In response, Farooq H. Naik pointed out that the medical report is ambiguous, as methamphetamine was not found in her blood but was present in her urine.

The court asked the prosecutor about the quantity of methamphetamine detected in the urine, to which the prosecutor replied that the medical report did not specify the amount.

Naik also mentioned that his client has been undergoing treatment with a psychiatrist for years, and it is possible she was given medication not mentioned in the medical report.

Justice Muhammad Karim Khan Agha remarked that it is significant that the victims in this case have reconciled with the accused.

After hearing arguments from both parties, the Sindh High Court approved bail for Natasha in the drug case, ordering her to submit bonds of Rs1 million.

Two weeks prior, a sessions court had rejected her bail application.

The woman driver suspect in the Karachi Karsaz road accident was charged under the Prohibition of Narcotic Substances Act, with police granted permission to investigate her for drug-related offences on September 1.

On August 21, the City Court of Karachi sent Natasha to jail on judicial remand. A special investigation team was formed on August 23rd to probe the incident.

New footage of the incident surfaced on August 23rd, revealing that Natasha had hit a white Corolla car and a motorcycle earlier on the same road before the fatal crash. She attempted to flee the scene but ended up hitting the motorcycle carrying the father and daughter, killing them.

At least two people, including a woman, were killed and seven injured when the driver of a car lost control and struck several vehicles at Karachi’s Karsaz Road on August 19, police said.
