A “striking three-dimensional billboard” in India’s Bengaluru has caught the attention of social media users, leaving many questioning its authenticity.

The advertisement features a man seemingly pouring out filter coffee and extending it toward passersby, creating a convincing illusion.

While promoting the restaurant chain Bangalore Thindies, the billboard’s 3D effect gives the impression that the figure is reaching out from the display, coffee in hand.

The food chain uploaded the video on its Instagram account while celebrating their expansion with the announcement of three new locations. “There can never be enough places to enjoy good Podi Masala and filter coffee.”

The 3D billboard in Bengaluru has gone viral, with various users sharing videos of the eye-catching advertisement on social media. Venu Gopal’s post on X described the ad as a “peak Bengaluru moment,” a phrase used to characterise unexpected occurrences in the city.

Reactions poured in from users, with one asking, “Is this for real?” and another exclaiming, “Spectacular! Where is this hoarding located?” Many praised the intricate detail of the billboard, with some declaring it a “next-level” moment for Bengaluru.

Not all feedback was positive. Concerns about safety were raised, with some users warning that the billboard could distract drivers and potentially lead to accidents.

“Eyes on the hoarding, road, potholes, pedestrians, vehicles—this is not a good idea,” one user said. Another added: “This kind of display is a distraction to drivers.”
