Pakistan security forces eliminate 8 terrorists in North Waziristan operation
Pakistan’s security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Razmak area of North Waziristan District, resulting in the death of eight terrorists. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that intense gunfire erupted between the troops and the militants, referred to as “khawarij,” leading to their defeat.
The operation also yielded a cache of weapons and ammunition, and the ISPR stated that these terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces and the targeted killings of civilians.
Security forces are currently sanitizing the area to eliminate any remaining militants, reaffirming their commitment to eradicating terrorism in the country.
Earlier, on September 20, twelve khawarij were killed in two separate encounters in North and South Waziristan Districts. In one incident, security forces intercepted a group of seven terrorists attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Spinwam area, resulting in their deaths after a fierce exchange of fire.
The second encounter occurred in Ladha, South Waziristan District, where a group of militants assaulted a security post. In the ensuing battle, five khawarij were killed, but tragically, six soldiers lost their lives as well.
