Man killed after throwing away bag of money to prevent robbery
A man was killed and his son injured during a robbery attempt in Karachi. The incident occurred near Bilal Chowrangi as the victim, Abdul Malik, was leaving a bank with Rs1 million.
CCTV footage obtained by Aaj News shows three robbers on two motorcycles approaching Malik and his son in their car. When the robbers attempted to rob them, Malik threw the bag of money into the air.
The robbers then opened fire, fatally wounding Malik. One robber picked up the bag, but some of the money fell to the ground, scattering as it was blown by the wind. This caused a commotion as bystanders began collecting the money.
Malik’s son exited the car and fired at the robbers, injuring one who fell to the ground. The remaining robbers fled, but not before shooting Malik’s son, who also fell to the ground.

Police transported both father and son to Jinnah Hospital, where Abdul Malik succumbed to his injuries. Police have arrested one injured robber.
The robbers escaped with approximately Rs300,000, while citizens recovered more than Rs700,000 from the scattered cash.
