Three Afghan women were apprehended at Karachi airport attempting to travel to Germany on forged documents, according to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The women, identified as Aziza Mohammadi, Mehria Rehmani, and Zahra Sultani, were found to be using counterfeit medical and business documents. A case has been registered against them, and they have been handed over to the FIA’s anti-human trafficking unit for further investigation.

Aziza, who entered Pakistan on a medical visa, presented documents claiming she had received treatment at a hospital in Islamabad between April 27 and May 20, 2024. However, investigations revealed she never visited Pakistan after obtaining her passport.

Similarly, Mehria, who arrived on a business visa, presented documents indicating she was on a business trip with her husband, Iqbal Hakimi. Upon questioning, she denied being married and having any knowledge of a man named Iqbal Hakimi.

Zahra, who arrived on September 2, claimed to be accompanying a patient, Marman Parveen, as an attendant. Investigations revealed that she had deceptively obtained a Pakistani visa under false pretenses.

This incident follows the recent arrest of nine other foreigners at Karachi airport attempting to travel abroad using forged documents. The FIA is actively working to combat the increasing trend of illegal immigration attempts through Pakistan.
