North Korea has launched a new set of short-range ballistic missiles, marking its second missile test within a week. This provocative action took place early Wednesday and is believed to be linked to the country’s suspected illicit arms supply to Russia amid ongoing tensions in Ukraine.

The South Korean military reported that the missiles were fired from the Kaechon area in South Phyongan Province and flew approximately 400 kilometers.

Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff condemned the launch, describing it as a significant threat to peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

This recent missile test follows North Korea’s earlier firing of multiple short-range missiles last Thursday.
