A sessions court has has delivered its decision in the drug use case against Natasha Danish, the suspect in the Karsaz car accident, rejecting her bail application.

A reserved its ruling on the post-arrest bail application of Natasha Danish, the suspect in the Karsaz traffic accident drug case on Wednesday.

Natasha had appealed the dismissal of her bail application by a judicial magistrate in the drug case.

On Wednesday, Additional District and Sessions Judge (East) Shahid Ali Memon reviewed the bail application presented by her attorney, Aamir Mansoob Qureshi. During the hearing, Danish’s defense counsel argued that the FIR in the drug case was based solely on a chemical report indicating methamphetamine (ice) in her urine.

He claimed she was falsely implicated under outdated laws and noted that no specific punishment exists for ice consumption in current legislation.

The defense emphasized that only one case should be filed for an incident, as she was already facing charges under the Provincial Motor Vehicles Ordinance. In contrast, state prosecutor Syed Khursheed Abbas Bukhari opposed the bail application, stating that the investigation was ongoing and the final charge sheet had not yet been submitted.
