PTI protests arrests made from inside Parliament House
A wave of arrests has swept through the Parliament House, with several members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party being taken into custody. Sources reveal that all MNAs present in the Parliament House were arrested to avoid being apprehended.
Zain Qureshi, Hamid Raza, and Waqas Akram were arrested early this morning. Sources report that the Parliament House lights were turned off before the arrests were made.
The three MNAs were present in the Parliament House’s Service Center and had even dined within the building.
Sources indicate that the PTI will strongly protest these arrests during today’s National Assembly session.
The party considers the arrests of MNAs from the Parliament House gates and within the building to be a violation of their rights. Sources say the PTI views the police action inside the Parliament House as a new low in fascism.
Sources also suggest that the party will strongly protest against Speaker Ayaz Sadiq. They argue that no such action could have been taken within the Parliament House without the Speaker’s permission.
The Speaker’s office remains silent on the matter, refusing to answer media inquiries regarding the arrests.
