Natasha Danish’s bail rejected in drug case
A judicial magistrate in Karachi has rejected the bail application of Natasha Danish, the accused in a drug case related to a fatal car crash in the city. The decision comes after reports of a settlement being reached between Natasha’s family and the families of the victims.
The magistrate had reserved judgment on the bail application on September 6. The decision to deny bail follows news of a settlement between Natasha’s family and the families of the two individuals killed in the accident.
Sources revealed that Natasha’s family has paid over 50 million rupees in compensation to the family of Amina, one of the victims. The payment was made through a pay order.
Sources further stated that a family member of Amna will also be offered employment in a company.
According to sources, a settlement was also reached with the individuals injured in the accident, with separate compensation payments being made to them. The settlements were reportedly made in accordance with Islamic law.
