Robbers killed in friendly fire during alleged encounter in Islamabad
Two suspected robbers were killed in a police encounter in the limits of Shahzad Town police station in Islamabad.
According to police, the suspects were in police custody when they opened fire on a police van, leading to their deaths.
The deceased suspects were allegedly involved in a robbery of a bank cash van and the murder of a security guard.
Police launched a raid to apprehend their accomplices based on information provided by the arrested suspects. During the raid, the suspects’ accomplices reportedly opened fire, resulting in the deaths of their own associates who were in police custody.
The police are currently investigating the incident and searching for the remaining suspects.
