At least two terrorists were killed in a security forces operation in Balochistan’s Kalat on the night of September 6 and 7, the military’s media wing said on Saturday.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations described the operation as “effective”. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the site.

The ISPR stated that the deceased terrorists were involved in multiple attacks against security forces. A clearance operation was ongoing in the area as “security forces remain committed to maintaining peace and stability in Balochistan.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the professionalism of the security forces, stating that they have sent the terrorists to their end. He emphasised that the fight against the scourge of terrorism will continue until it “is completely eradicated from Pakistan.”

Meanwhile, the security forces killed Khawarij suicide bombers who attempted to infiltrate Frontier Corps headquarters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mohmand district before causing any intended damage to the forces’ installation.

“In early hours of 6 September 2024, a group of four Khawarij tried to attack a Frontier Corps Headquarters in Mohmand District,” an ISPR statement said.

“Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area. Pakistan security forces stand valiant, with the sheer determination and resolve, to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
