Gold prices decrease in local, intl market
Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Saturday, mirroring a drop in international rates. In the local market, the price for gold per tola decreased by Rs2,000, bringing it to Rs261,500.
The price for 10 grams of gold also dropped, selling at Rs224,194 after a decline of Rs1,714, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Friday, gold prices had risen by Rs1,400, closing at Rs263,500.
Concurrently, international gold prices fell, with the rate reported at $2,497 per ounce (plus a $20 premium), down by $21 for the day.
Silver prices also saw a reduction, dropping Rs50 to settle at Rs2,850 per tola. Notably, last month, gold prices reached a record high of Rs263,700 per tola in Pakistan.
