The suspect involved in the attack on the police officers was killed, resulting in death of one police officer and the injury of another in Abbottabad.

The attackers managed to escape the scene.

The funeral prayers for the slain officer, Shahzaib, have been conducted.

The incident occurred near the Sethi Mosque.

According to the police, the officers from the Sikandrabad police station station were on patrol when they stopped a person who then began shooting.

Two officials were seriously injured, and during treatment, one of them, Shahzeb, succumbed to his injuries.

Another officer named Ihtisham was severely wounded and has been transferred to Ayub Medical Complex for treatment.

District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad Umar Tufail stated that the police have registered a case against the unidentified assailants and have set up roadblocks throughout the city to search for them, assuring that the suspects will be apprehended soon.
