PM Shehbaz vows no place for hatred in Balochistan, condemns terrorism targeting CPEC
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that there will be no room for those sowing seeds of hatred in Balochistan, and has vowed to crush those who seek to undermine Pakistan’s stability. He further stated that there is no question of engaging in dialogue with Pakistan’s enemies, and that they will be taught a lesson.
Addressing the federal cabinet meeting on Friday, Prime Minister Sharif stated that he had visited Quetta the previous day to assess the security situation and meet with the families of those who lost their lives in recent terrorist attacks. He commended the courage of the families and received a briefing from the Quetta Corps Commander on the challenges facing Balochistan.
Sharif condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan, calling them “the height of terrorism.” He asserted that terrorists and foreign elements are working together to spread hatred in Balochistan, and that they are receiving support from outside forces. He emphasized that those attempting to sow discord will not be tolerated.
The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the Balochistan government under Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, highlighting the government’s youth-focused programs. He emphasized the unwavering commitment of the Pakistan Army, whose officers and soldiers are working tirelessly to combat terrorism. He assured the military of the full support of both the federal and provincial governments.

Sharif stated that the atmosphere created on August 26th, with attempts to portray Balochistan as a place of separatism, was a misrepresentation of the province’s true nature. He asserted that the people of Balochistan are patriotic and desire progress. He emphasized that during his visit, he listened to the concerns of all stakeholders.
The Prime Minister categorically stated that there is no question of engaging in dialogue with Pakistan’s enemies. He criticized certain political elements for misleading young people through divisive narratives.
Sharif highlighted the immense potential of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for Balochistan’s development. He emphasized that during his visit, he directly asked the people of Balochistan if China was a friend of Pakistan, to which they unanimously responded affirmatively. He accused terrorists of attempting to hinder the promotion of CPEC for the benefit of the people.
Prime Minister Sharif concluded by announcing that he will soon hold a meeting with the Chief Minister of Balochistan. He reiterated the federal government’s commitment to supporting Balochistan. He emphasized that Pakistan’s enemies will be dealt with decisively and will face the consequences of their actions.
