New small arms simulator unveiled at IDEAS 2024

Pakistan has introduced an innovative indigenous training tool called the Haadif Small Arms Simulator , at the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024 in Karachi,.

This multi-weapon simulator aims to enhance the training and combat readiness of soldiers.

Designed to improve shooting accuracy and tactical skills, the Haadif simulator allows soldiers to train with various weapons, including the G3 rifle, light machine guns, submachine guns, and pistols.

The technology supports both stationary and moving target practice, helping soldiers prepare for complex combat situations across different terrains, such as mountainous and desert environments.

Colonel Tahir of the Pakistan Army highlighted the simulator’s capability to equip soldiers for diverse operational scenarios. He stated, “This simulator enables us to train soldiers with multiple types of light and heavy weaponry simultaneously, preparing them for real-world challenges in demanding conditions.”

IDEAS 2024, organized by the Ministry of Defence and the Defence Export Promotion Organization, commenced on November 19 and will run until November 22.

The event showcases Pakistan’s advancements in defense technology and has attracted participation from 17 new countries, including Iran, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

The exhibition features 224 local and 333 international companies, reflecting a growing emphasis on self-reliance in military production. Among other highlights are the introduction of the Pakistan-made Haider tank and the Shahpar-3 drone.

A dedicated hall for start-ups showcasing innovative defense solutions has also been established.

As part of the event, a seminar on Pakistan’s defense production potential will be held, focusing on growth opportunities in the sector. Additionally, the armed forces will host a professional show for Karachi residents on November 21.

However, traffic restrictions will be in place on Sir Shah Sulaiman Road from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the exhibition.
