Moderate earthquake shakes Islamabad, KP
Islamabad was shaken by an earthquake just before noon on Thursday.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter Scale.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush range at a depth of 215 kilometres.
The earthquake rattled buildings across the city, causing people to exit buildings in panic.
No loss of life and property has been reported so far.
Tremors from the earthquake were also felt in numerous cities across Pakistan, including Lahore, Multan, and Sargodha in Punjab province, and Peshawar, Swat, North Waziristan, Hangu, Mardan, Malakand, Buner, Shangla, Dir, Mansehra, Bitgram, Torghar, and Kohistan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
