Karachi police have arrested a security guard from the Cantt Station bus terminal under the accusation of killing a A 12-year-old girl was found dead in a trash bin in the Saddar area of Karachi, three days ago.

The victim, identified as Ganga, daughter of Hari Chand, belonged to the Bagri community.

SHO Frere, Irfan Mayo, revealed that the girl’s family stated that she left home around 10 pm the previous night to get bread from the Cantt Station bus terminal, accompanied by a friend.

Ganga sent her friend back home and said she would follow, but her body was later discovered within the jurisdiction of Saddar police station.

The post-mortem confirmed sexual assault, and police apprehended the suspect during the course of the investigation.

According to the police, the accused, along with two other security guards, sexually assaulted the girl.

The suspect confessed to killing the girl out of fear of being identified, while the two other accomplices are still at large.
