The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan on September 15, and has submitted a formal request to the Lahore district administration for permission to hold the event.

The request, submitted by PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan to the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore, cites relevant articles and Supreme Court rulings regarding the granting of permission for public gatherings.

This decision comes after the PTI canceled its planned rally in Lahore on August 27 due to a lack of permission.

Previously, the party also canceled a planned rally in Islamabad on August 22. The rally is now scheduled for September 8.
