Atif Khan, Sher Arbab removed from party positions

PTI in KP has faced further internal divisions

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is continuing face to further internal divisions. The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has removed two members of the provincial assembly, Atif Khan and Sher Ali Arbab, from their party positions.

The President of the Peshawar region comprising the districts of Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan and Swabi, Atif Khan, has been replaced by former District Nazim Mohammad Asim Khan.

Former provincial minister Kamran Khan Bangash remains the General Secretary of the Peshawar region.

Similarly, Arbab has been removed as the President of Peshawar district, and Irfan Saleem has been appointed in his place. Advocate Malik Shahab has been made the new General Secretary of Peshawar district.

The PTI General Secretary Ali Asghar Khan has issued new notifications regarding appointments in the Peshawar region and Peshawar district, with the approval of the Provincial Party President resident, Ali Amin Gandapur.

Atif Khan had stated in favor of the removed Minister Shakeel Khan, while Arbab had refused to sign the statement of confidence in the Chief Minister.

Gandapur had removed the National Assembly member Junaid Akbar from the position of Focal Person for National Assembly members, after he had given a statement in favor of Shakeel.

Gandapur, had stated in his statement that the Good Governance Committee, formed with the approval of PTI chairman Imran Khan, had approved the removal of Shakeel Khan due to his performance.
