Former Prime Minister and founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has accused the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Army Chief General Asim Munir of being responsible for his safety, claiming he is being held in harsh conditions in Adiala Jail.

Speaking to the media after a hearing in the £190 million case, Khan stated that he has no contact with the establishment and any future communication will be for the sake of the country and the law. He asserted that the public loves the army because it protects them, but criticized the current administration, saying, “Only sheep are controlled by sticks, not humans. The country needs strong institutions. What they are doing is suicide.”

Khan further expressed concern about the conditions of his confinement, claiming his cell is “like an oven” and that he is being subjected to excessive scrutiny. He said, “The room where I am kept is like an oven, but despite this, I don’t want any relief.”

Regarding the recent cricket team’s defeat to Bangladesh, Khan criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, calling him a “crony” who has destroyed the sport.

He accused Naqvi of being involved in the wheat scandal and having a property worth $5 million in Dubai registered under his wife’s name. He also questioned Naqvi’s qualifications for his positions, highlighting his involvement in a 2008 corruption case.

Khan emphasized that cricket is the most popular sport in Pakistan and that the current team’s decline is a result of nepotism and favoritism. He claimed that the team’s performance has drastically dropped since Naqvi’s appointment, despite a previous victory over India.

Khan also expressed concern about his wife Bushra Bibi’s living conditions, stating that her room is infested with rats. He informed the court about the situation, hoping for a solution.
