Pop superstar Taylor Swift has opened up about the emotional turmoil she experienced after being forced to cancel two upcoming concerts in Vienna, Austria.

In a heartfelt statement, Swift expressed feelings of “fear and guilt” over having to disappoint her devoted fans in the Austrian capital.

The singer was scheduled to perform at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion on August 24th and 25th as part of her ongoing global tour.

However, Swift was compelled to cancel the shows due to what her team described as a “sudden illness” affecting the artist. The announcement, made just days before the concerts, left many ticket holders disappointed and scrambling to adjust their plans.

“I’m so sorry to the fans in Vienna. I was so excited to come perform for you all and I’m devastated to have had to cancel,” Swift said in a statement. “The last thing I ever want to do is let my fans down, but sometimes life throws curveballs that we have to navigate.”

The 34-year-old singer went on to say that she felt “fear and guilt” over having to call off the shows, acknowledging the inconvenience and frustration it caused for those who had purchased tickets and made arrangements to attend.

Swift’s tour in support of her latest album has been a massive global success, with the singer performing to sold-out arenas across North America, Europe and Asia. The Vienna concerts were set to be a highlight of the European leg of the tour.
