Six Diamer-Bhasha Dam labourers killed in accident

At least six labourers of the Diamer-Bhasha Dam were killed and two got injured when their vehicle lost control and fell into a deep ravine near Thor Manyar in Chilas on Monday.

Among the deceased, three were from Darel, one from Goharabad, one from Karora in Shangla, and one was associated with the construction company FWO. One of the injured workers is from Darel while another is from Thor.

The Tourist Police, GB Police, and GB Scouts launched joint rescue operations. Initially, three injured workers were pulled from the ravine and rushed to Chilas Hospital. One of the injured succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital, while two others are under treatment.

The conditions of the injured are critical, hospital officials said.
