Six children die after consuming poisonous milk in Khairpur

Family accuses doctors of negligence

A tragic incident in Khairpur, Sindh, has claimed the lives of six children after they consumed poisoned milk. The incident occurred in the village of Habib Brohi, near the town of Pir Jo Goth.

More than 10 children fell ill after consuming contaminated food late at night. They were rushed to the local hospital, where two children died upon arrival. Eight others remained in critical condition, and sadly, four more succumbed to their illnesses this morning, bringing the death toll to six. All the victims belong to the same family.

The deceased children include Dilbar Ghulam Asghar, Fahmida Ganj, Baby Sonia, and others. Four children remain in critical condition, including Maryam Hajani, Manzoor, and Muhammad Bakhsh.

The families of the victims are mourning the loss and accusing the local hospital of negligence, claiming that a lack of doctors and inadequate facilities led to the deaths. They are demanding strict action against the negligent staff.

The families also allege that the children’s condition worsened due to the delay in transporting them to the hospital after the heavy rains.

Hospital doctors have confirmed that the deaths were caused by a poisonous substance in the food. Tests are being conducted to determine the exact nature of the poison.
