Nigerian content creator Munachimso Brian Nwana has set a new Guinness World Record by visiting an impressive 150 fast-food establishments in Nigeria, surpassing the previous record of 100 set in New York.

Adhering to the Guinness World Records rules, Brian was required to complete the entire route on foot, as private transportation was not permitted, and Abuja’s limited public infrastructure posed a challenge. Despite this, he managed to walk over 25 kilometers during his record-breaking attempt.

Brian commenced his endeavor at 5 pm and took a break from midnight to 9 am to rest. Throughout his journey, he sampled a variety of foods, including both international fare like shawarma, pizza, fried chicken, and burgers, as well as traditional Nigerian dishes such as moin moin (bean pudding) and amala (a dough-like swallow food). Any remaining food was consumed by his team and members of the public.

Guinness World Records has stated that Brian undertook this challenge to promote Abuja’s diverse restaurant scene and showcase the richness of Nigerian cuisine to a wider audience.

“To successfully achieve the record, at least one food or drink item must be purchased and consumed at each restaurant, with the requirement that at least 75% of the orders are food,” Guinness World Records stated.
