Where to visit in Pakistan during winters?
Pakistan is a country which has four kinds of weather and it enters a new meteorological condition every three months.
From summer’s high mercury to winter’s snowfall, you can experience different moods of weather in Pakistan.
Currently, the winter is here and hilly areas are embracing snowfall, these white-covered mountains are the biggest attraction to enjoy winter vacations in Pakistan.
Here we have compiled a list of the most amazing places that you can visit during this winter season.
Nathia Gali: Pakistan’s Nathia Gali in Hazara province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is one of the most popular tourist areas of the Murree Hills. Located at an altitude of 8,200ft, It is situated 34km at one hour’s drive away from both Murree & Abbottabad it’s a centre point between both areas.
Arang Kel: It was named after Kel village of Neelam Valley in Pakistan’s administrative Kashmir. It is located 155 kilometres from Muzaffarabad at an altitude of 6,879 feet. It’s one of the charming places to visit in Neelum Valley.
The valley has glaciers and snowfall covers the hills in winter.
Skardu: Lies about 2,500 metres above sea level and is nestled amid the Karakoram mountain range. This rugged terrain is home to some of the tallest peaks in the world including K2 – the world’s second-highest mountain and Pakistan’s highest mountain – and Nanga Parbat.
Ziarat: is one of the most beautiful places in the country. The home of the second largest Juniper barry’s tree forest in the world. It has treasured the residence of Quaid-e-Azam in its original and is a famous tourist site for both summer & winter seasons.
Naran and Kaghan Valleys: are the most popular tourist destinations of Pakistan Naran is a town in the upper Kaghan Valley and is located in the Mansehra, District of the Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Besides these places, Pakistan’s Peer Chanasi, Kalash Valley, Hunza Valley, Malam Jabba, Leepa Valley, Swat Valley and other areas of countries witness cold weather and rain during these months from October to March while snowfall covers hills and the lowest temperature makes a thin shield over the lakes.

Safety First
Before you travel to these places, make sure you check the weather forecast before departure for the dates you are planning to stay.
It is recommended to pack warm wool caps and sweaters in your luggage, as the temperatures tend to be very low in the evening.
Make sure you get your car serviced and the oil changed.
