Woman found in ropes in Islamabad not Beligan but Pakistani, police finds

The police were unable to get a statement from the woman

The mystery surrounding the identity of a woman found bound hand and foot in Islamabad has been solved.

The woman, initially believed to be a foreigner, has been identified as Farwa Kayani, a resident of Rawalpindi.

Police are now investigating the motives behind the woman’s claim of being a foreigner.

The incident occurred two days ago when a woman was found in Sector G-6 of Islamabad. Concerns were raised about a possible sexual assault.

Police spent days trying to identify the woman and determine her nationality but were unsuccessful.

Police officials revealed they received information about a woman who was left by the roadside in Sector G-6.

The woman introduced herself as a Belgian citizen and told police she had arrived in Islamabad six months ago. She claimed to be living with a man and accused him of repeatedly raping her.

Police took the woman to the hospital for medical assistance and attempted to take her statement, but were unsuccessful.

Police contacted the Belgian embassy, but they had no record of the woman. They also contacted the Netherlands mission, but received no relevant information.

Police claimed the woman was unable to provide identification as she had no belongings. They then visited a residence in Sector G-7 where the woman had been staying.

However, police said they found nothing that could provide evidence of her identity or nationality.

Police stated that the woman is undergoing a medical examination at the hospital and can speak both English and Urdu. She is reported to be in good mental health.
