Five members of family killed in firing over land dispute in Sialkot
A long-standing land dispute escalated into a deadly shooting, resulting in the deaths of five members of a single family, in the village of Signal, Pasrur Tehsil, Sialkot.
According to the police, 42-year-old Muhammad Javed, his 39-year-old wife Raqia, and their two daughters, 15-year-old Fatima and 26-year-old Aram, were working in the fields when the alleged perpetrators, Ejaz and Muhammad Shehzad, opened fire.
The gunfire killed Javed, Raqia, Aram, and Fatima at the scene. When 52-year-old Rashida, a relative, tried to intervene and stop the attackers, she was also shot and succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital.
The police have attributed this tragic incident to a long-standing land dispute and previous legal battles between the parties involved. The community has been left reeling from the devastating loss of five lives in this senseless act of violence.
