The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced the discovery of new gas reserves in Chak 1-202 of the Maari East Block in Rahim Yar Khan.

“These newly discovered reserves are expected to produce 6.15 million cubic feet of gas per day,” according to the OGDCL spokesperson.

This is the second discovery of gas reserves by the government organisation in August.

The spokesperson stated that the new gas reserves would help in bridging the gap between the country’s gas demand and supply. “The OGDCL is committed to expanding Pakistan’s energy resources to meet the growing energy needs of the nation.”
