Social media platforms faces internet disruption in Pakistan
Social media users are facing difficulties due to severe disruption of internet services in various cities of Pakistan for the second consecutive day on Saturday.
Messaging applications including WhatsApp as well as other social media apps began experiencing slowdowns since Friday. The situation improved in the evening but complaints spiked again.
The disruption of internet services is causing problems for many people.
On the other hand, reports have also emerged of messages not downloading on WhatsApp.

Internet, social media disrupted in Pakistan after Imran Khan’s arrest
Downdetector reported on Friday that WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram have been experiencing slowdowns for several hours. The website again reported a spike in the complaints on Saturday.
However, NetBlocks, another important platform monitoring internet restrictions, has not reported any anomaly in Pakistan internet traffic.
The disruption comes in the wake of reports that Pakistani authorities are testing a firewall to block and filter out unwanted social media content.
