The per tola price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,000 and was traded at Rs256,500 in the local market on Friday against its sale at Rs255,500 the previous day.

Likewise, the price of 10-gram 24-karat also increased by Rs857 to Rs219,907 from Rs219,050 whereas that of 10-gram 22-karat gold went up to Rs20,582 from Rs219,050, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.

The price of per tola and 10-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs2,850 and Rs2,443.41 respectively.

Prices of gold in the international market increased by $37 to $2,430 from $2,393, the association added.
