Light rain predicted in Karachi, clouds gathered across the country
Pakistan Meteorological Department has stated that cloudy skies and rain clouds are present in Karachi, with the possibility of light showers and drizzle at various locations in the city today.
Yesterday, parts of Karachi experienced both heavy and light rainfall, with areas like Tariq Road, Sharah-e-Faisal, University Road, Gulistan-e-Jhar, and Hassan Square seeing light rain, while Malir and Gulistan-e-Jauhar saw drizzles.
According to the met department, winds are currently blowing at 17 km/h from the west in Karachi, with the current temperature at 30°C. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 32-34°C, and the humidity level is 83%.
Weather analyst Jawad Memon states that rainfall is likely to begin in Karachi from July 29 or 30, and the spell may continue intermittently until August 2 or 3, with moderate to heavy showers expected in parts of the city. He also forecasts the possibility of another low pressure area developing in the Bay of Bengal around August 6 or 7.
Across Punjab, including Lahore, heavy downpours have disrupted power supply in multiple areas.
In most parts of the country, heat and humidity will remain high.
In some areas of Islamabad, Dair, Swat, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, and Buner, heavy rainfall is possible accompanied by strong winds, thunderstorms, and lightning.

Similar weather conditions, with heavy rainfall, strong winds, and thunderstorms, are also expected in Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Malakand, Bajaur, Khyber, Kurram, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Muri, Gilgit, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sialkot, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Lahore, Kasur, and Okara.
In Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Noorpur Thal, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Leiah, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalnagar, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms at some locations.
