Senator Faisal Vawda has stated that the public will no longer participate in protests alongside the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.

During an exclusive interview on “Spot Light” Vawda expressed his view that the government will continue to apprehend PTI members, while the courts will remain inactive.

He also expressed skepticism about the formation of a new coalition government, stating that he doesn’t see specific seats being allocated to the Suni Ittehad Council.

Vawda further predicted that Imran Khan’s release from prison and return to power are unlikely in the near future.

He dismissed the PTI’s calls for protests, stating that the public is now preoccupied with their children, jobs, and high electricity bills. He believes that neither court orders nor actions by the PTI or the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will benefit the people.

Regarding the establishment’s alleged support for the PML-N, Vawda claimed that the establishment always aligns itself with the ruling government, as it did with the previous PTI government.

Responding to another question, Vawda asserted that signing contracts with Independent Power Producers (IPPs) since 1994 constitutes a criminal act.

He concluded by stating that the current democratic system, characterized by expired leaders, is unsustainable. He believes that new faces will emerge in the political landscape, signaling a change in leadership.
