Model and entrepreneur Hailey Bieber opened up about her relationship with her family, stating that she is not “super close” with them at this point in her life.

The 27-year-old, who is currently pregnant with her first child with husband Justin Bieber, explained, “I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family.”

Despite coming from a well-known family - Hailey is the younger daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and graphic designer Kennya Baldwin - the Rhode Beauty founder shared that her primary focus is on her marriage and the next chapter of her life.

“People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one,” Hailey said, referring to the public scrutiny she and Justin have faced. “But when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories.”

Discussing her pregnancy, Hailey admitted that it was “super emotional” for her at first, as she grappled with the idea of bringing a new life into the world. “I love this human so much. How can I possibly bring someone else into this?” she reflected.
